Finned PV Natural Cooling Using Water-Based TiO2 Nanofluid

چکیده

The efficiency of PV (photovoltaic) modules is highly dependent on the operating temperature. objective this work to enhance performance by passive cooling using aluminum fins that have been nanocoated (like those an automobile radiator). A rise in cell temperature module leads a decrease its performance. As result, effective mechanism required. In work, has improved natural convection, which was achieved placing three similar next each other order test them simultaneously. first panel will be base and used for comparison purposes. An automotive radiator (with fins) firmly fixed onto rear two modules, third had titanium oxide (TiO2) water-based nanofluid applied them. power produced as well their side temperatures, were recorded every 30 min over four months. reduction 4.0 °C attained when TiO2 sprayed panel’s finned side. This followed scenario where only finned, with drop 1.0 °C. result reduction, percentage coated-finned increased 5.8 1.5 percent, respectively. caused increase 1.1 percent panels 0.4 PV.

Enhancement Performance New Generation of CPU Cooling System Using Water-AL2O3 Nanofluid

By increase in the power of computer systems and enhanced power of the components and their temperature, including the central processing unit (CPU), cooling just by the air is not effective and there is need for more powerful systems to cool down and increase the power of the cooling system. In this article simulation of the heat exchanger material of the fluid cooling system has been studied ...

Hysteresis Phenomenon on Water-Based Nanofluid Viscosity

Dynamic viscosity values for three particular water-based nanofluids have been experimental determined using a commercial ‘piston-type’ viscometer. Viscosity data, expressed as a function of temperature and particle volume fraction, are presented for 29nm particle-size CuO-water and Al2O3-water with 36nm and 47nm particle-sizes, temperatures up to 75°C and particle volume fraction up to 9%. In ...

Experimental Research on Stability and Natural Convection of TiO2-Water Nanofluid in Enclosures with Different Rotation Angles

The stability and natural convection heat transfer characteristics of TiO2-water nanofluid in enclosures with different rotation angles (α = -45°, α = 0°, α = 45°, and α = 90°) are experimentally investigated. The effects of different pH values and doses (m) of dispersant agent on the stability of TiO2-water nanofluid are investigated. It is found that TiO2-water nanofluid with m = 6 wt% and pH...

Numerical study of natural convection in a horizontal cylinder filled with water-based alumina nanofluid

Natural heat convection of water-based alumina (Al2O3/water) nanofluids (with volume fraction 1% and 4%) in a horizontal cylinder is numerically investigated. The whole three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics (CFD) procedure is performed in a completely open-source way. Blender, enGrid, OpenFOAM and ParaView are employed for geometry creation, mesh generation, case simulation and post pr...

Dynamic contact angle of water-based titanium oxide nanofluid

This paper presents an investigation into spreading dynamics and dynamic contact angle of TiO2-deionized water nanofluids. Two mechanisms of energy dissipation, (1) contact line friction and (2) wedge film viscosity, govern the dynamics of contact line motion. The primary stage of spreading has the contact line friction as the dominant dissipative mechanism. At the secondary stage of spreading,...
